Intel Orchestrated An Epic Lightshow With 300 Drones at the Super Bowl

Super Bowl witnessed an astounding light show choreographed by Intel using 300 drones. “Each ultra-light drone is equipped with an LED that can produce four billion color combinations and the whole swarm of 300+ drones (Intel has actually managed to fly 500 at a time) can be operated by just two people.” These drones buzzed into formation as an American Flag before rearranging to the Intel logo.

Here’s the catch: the light show is actually pre-recorded due to restrictions placed on the area by the Federal Aviation Administration. FAA forbids drones from flying within a 34.5-mile radius of the stadium, dubbing the airspace a “no drone zone”.
