Film Recommendation: Valentines Edition

Valentine’s day is a day away. If you’re planning to have a chill night over a movie, here’s a list of our favorites for you to watch.

Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind
Love prevails, even if you try your best to erase the memories. Joel (Jim Carrey) intended to erase his ex girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) from his memory as a response to her erasing him from her’s. However, his subconscious begs otherwise.

La La Land
Life is filled with unexpected turn of events, especially when it comes to love. This musical tells a story about an aspiring actress meets a jazz musician. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling starred in this musical about love, dreams, struggles, and how reality doesn’t always happen the way we want to.

Dell (Justin Long) and Kimberley (Emmy Rossum), two people with opposite personality, meets by chance at a meteor shower. Dell boldly asked for Kimberley’s number despite the presence of her date. The movie is shown through glimpses of parallel universes that are not chronologically ordered, a journey where love and relationship can sometimes be painfully complicated.

Kimi No Nawa
Mitsuha lives in quaint countryside yet yearns to live the life of a boy in Tokyo. One morning, she finds herself waking up in a body of a Tokyo boy, Taki. Named as the highest grossing anime of all time, Kimi No Nawa tells a story about love and friendship that defies time. Its director Makoto Shinkai is known for mellow storylines and stunning cinematography.

Grand Budapest Hotel
Legendary concierge Gustave H (Ralph Fiennes) gets involved in an unexpected adventure with his protége lobby boy, Zero (Tony Revolori). What ensues is a quirky story of enduring love between a lobby boy and a patissier (Saoirse Ronan) in Wes Anderson’s colorful world.
